Museum Weekend

Well, we certainly had a museum weekend. We visited the SC State Museum on Saturday. Brooks and Maddie really loved it. Especially the gigantic shark and the train exhibit. Sunday evening, we headed to Edventure children's museum. Brooks and Maddie had a great time - favorites were the grocery store, fire truck, and the spider web for climbing outdoors. The other day, Nicole went to the gym to work out after I got home from work. It was raining (just drizzling - no lightening) and the kids had been inside all day. They were a little stir crazy, so I suited them up in their rain coats and we went outside to play on the play set & in the sand. The kids loved it because the sand was sticky, so it made sand castles easy!
Brooks is really getting to be a little jokester. This week it has been all about Natalie. He'll call Nicole Natalie or say something like Brooks go Natalie's house, now! Then just bust out laughing. He is going to be such a character. He has learned Nicole's and my stern face and will say something like "Brooks pu-pu zu-zu rii now" (Brooks wants a peanut butter and jelly right now) and will put on his serious face. It is really funny to see and so cute.
Maddie is beginning to become a little girl. She recently noticed Nicole's painted toe nails, then looked at hers, pointed to them and looked at Nicole as if to say "me too." She insists on feeding herself - which can get tricky and messy all at the same time.
These kids are really growing up, enjoy the pictures, we got a lot of them just hanging around the house. The pics of Brooks with the two blue animals are his "dogs" that he sleeps with. He's had his little blue one. While we were cleaning the upstairs recently, we found his baby matt that is the same pattern as the small blue dog, Brooks calls this one his "big dog."
