Nicole and the kids had a great birthday party for me. They made a cake and Nicole made an excellent meal. Brooks asked me if my friends from work were coming and Maddie said Happy Birthday Daddy about 1 thousand times. How lucky I am to have such a great family. We had an excellent celebration.
This weekend began our Easter celebration began this weekend our Easter celebration began. We had a big Easter egg hunt with the kids from Brooks' school at the park in the neighborhood. Brooks and Maddie took right to it. They were so excited. It was a lot of fun.
Dad and Mom came up to help us get an Easter picture (since we've sworn off the photo studios!). They kids did pretty well and we got a couple of decent shots. Dylan, on the other hand, despised the whole experience.
Brooks says when Dylan sleeps like this, his lips are a triangle (smart kid!).
This weekend, we took Maddie to target with all of her pacifiers in a bag so she could use them to purchase a Cinderella dress. She did it. We are so proud of her. She has really done well without a pacifier all weekend. I have noticed that she is more affectionate and wants to snuggle more. That is a side effect we were not expecting, but have welcomed. She has such a beautiful smile, it has been a pleasure to see more of that this weekend as well. We have ourselves such a big girl now, but she is still my sweet baby girl.
